COVID-19 - How you can help

To respond in various ways to support the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and support those services working with Civil Defence, Non profit organisations and local authorities to meet critical response needs as they emerge.

Youth Mentor

Develop a mentoring relationship with a young person to help them feel a little brighter and a little more loved than they did yesterday.

The Poppy Flight

If you are a whiz with knitting needles or crochet hooks we would love your nibble fingers to make poppies and stars for this fundraising project for the RSA, the Starship Foundation and NZ Warbirds. Patterns provided and work can be done from home.

Board Opportunity

COMET Auckland is looking for up to two new board members to join our strong, diverse and collegial board, to help shape our directions and so contribute to systems change in education and skills.

Database Administrator

The Volunteer Database Administrator role is designed to support the Volunteer Programme Manager by updating and maintaining the volunteer files and database.

Board member - Trustee

NESA was started by 1 person who was hit by a drunk driving in 2015. Luckily, she survived the crash and now wants others to feel loved and supported when they have been impacted by a drunk or drugged driver. Join our team as a trustee.

Prison Visitor

This is a visiting programme for Asylum Seekers detained at Mt Eden Prison or at the Mangere centre. It will involve an induction process to allow you to visit the detainees at these facilities for regular visits once a week on a weekday afternoon.

Client Support for Asylum Seekers and Refugees

We are looking for support for our refugee clients based at our Blockhouse Bay hostel. The role will involve a variety of tasks from advocacy work, sorting donations to providing transport.

Community Engagement Support

We need someone to help transport our clients to community events e.g. trips to the beach, yoga classes, English classes, concerts, and events etc. We have an 8 seater vehicle to be used for this. Will be a fun and interactive role with our clients

Community Assistant for Safari Multicultural playgroups

We work with young children and their families who are mostly from a refugee or migrant background. We run a playgroup three mornings a week where children engage in free play, and parents can play alongside their children and attend English classes
