Advice

Advice

If you are new to volunteering, can't find a suitable role, or would simply like to talk with us and get some personalised assistance in finding the right role, then arrange a time for a talk with one of our advisors.

The consultation consists of:

  • Finding out about you: The advisor will ask about your current situation (location, employment, time available, etc.), your goals for volunteering, who you might like to work with and what sort of volunteering roles you might like to do.
  • Discussing possible volunteer roles: The advisor will provide information on relevant volunteering roles. You can discuss these roles and their suitability for your circumstances and objectives.
  • Taking the next step: If you find a role you are interested in, the advisor will arrange to put you in touch with the organisation concerned. There is no obligation at this stage - just an opportunity to talk about the role and find out how to get started.

A consultation with one of our advisors is not a job interview, and you don't need to bring your CV. We aim to use our knowledge of the non-profit sector to find the most suitable role for your particular situation. After that it's up to you and the organisation you have selected to discuss the role further, and the choice to proceed is always yours.

To talk with our advisors you can phone or visit our office between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday - no appointment necessary.

Alternatively, complete the form below and we will be in touch to arrange a suitable time:
