🌱 One Last Planting Day at Ātiu Creek!

Ä€tiu Creek Regional Park is a beautiful but seldom-visited park that has extensive harbour frontage with large tracts of native forest, supporting a range of flora and fauna which provides habitat for the nationally threatened New Zealand dabchick and brown teal. It is a stunning coastal area that is now under intensive regeneration - and we need your help! Come along to this community planting day and get ready to dig deep. This year, we are planting approximately 2,100 native plants and trees that have been grown from eco-sourced seeds collected within the park, and propagated at our on-site nursery. Volunteers are welcome to meet us onsite. We have very limited seats from our office in Eden Terrace, transport from our office is not guaranteed. For those meeting us at the park, please note there is limited cellphone coverage and the event location is only accessible with CVNZ team leaders. You will receive the address once you register. Please ensure you arrive by 9:30am to meet the team leaders. We will finish our planting at 12:30pm and wrap up with a free BBQ for all our volunteers. This event is made possible through funding from Auckland Council Regional Parks. Join our community planting day and gather your friends and family for a fun day!
