Environmental Education Support

Overview:
This role is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in community engagement, environmental education, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Coordinator with planning and delivery of environmental education activities, workshops, and events.
Provide support for our volunteer programmes (e.g. stream monitoring, biodiversity surveys).
Help prepare educational materials and undertake research and literature reviews for research writing.
Assist with organising equipment and logistics for fieldwork sessions.
Support data entry and basic organisation of monitoring results.
Help communicate with other volunteers and participants (emails, updates, follow-ups)
Provide general support as needed

Skills & Experience:
Interest in environmental education, conservation, or community engagement.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Basic computer skills (e.g. email, documents, spreadsheets).

Time Commitment:
Flexible, ideally a few hours per week depending on availability.

To support the effective delivery of WRCT’s environmental education programmes and help strengthen community engagement in environmental stewardship.

We are looking for applicants who can work from our office in Blockhouse Bay at least twice a week
