Stream Care Days

Join Kaipātiki Project for the day — and become an agent of change — caring for our precious waterways!

We invite you to work alongside a group of volunteers like yourself, guided by our expert ecologist, to revitalise the health of our local streams and support the ecosystems that rely on them. With just a little bit of direction from our team, you will fast become an agent of change for good in our reserves and your community.

Why the focus on streams?

  • Healthy Water
  • Healthy streams help the entire ecosystem thrive!
  • Flood Resilience
  • Clearing debris and invasive plants, and stabilising river banks with native vegetation can reduce the risk of flooding in surrounding neighbourhoods.

From pest plant removal to native planting, from water quality monitoring and stream clean-ups to wildlife research and protection, and you're invited to join us!

We value and appreciate every hand that helps!
