Conservation Conversation: The Restoration of an Urban Freshwater Gem

Conservation Volunteers NZ
Conservation | Working Hours | Mount Albert
14 April 2025

Conservation Volunteers NZ and Mt Albert Library present a series of bilingual seminars about environmental conservation. Under the Migrant Conservation Programme, we aim to bring cultures together and share local conservation knowledge. The seminars cover various conservation topics that are interesting around Auckland.

We invited Wendy John from Friends of Oakley Creek to share her experience in caring for Te Auaunga - Oakley Creek. She will talk about how it takes commitment and community to protect our native biodiversity and streams.

This event will feature an hour-long talk, followed by questions and conversations. It is open to anyone of any age to join. The seminar will be delivered in English and Mandarin.
