Pest line trappers
Our goal is to achieve 'Pest-free Whau' by 2050. To help us reach this target, we need volunteers to check and reset traps with new bait at least monthly. We do not use any poisons. Each volunteer will be fully trained on how to check and reset the traps safely. The hours will depend entirely on what you are able to commit to. Location is on the Rosebank Peninsula, alongside the Rosebank Industrial area, normally we can only monitor during business working hours. However, some sections are accessible on the weekend, we also have trapping projects at Tony Segedin Reserve which can be checked on weekdays and weekends.
If this sounds like something you'd be keen to help out with, we'd love to hear from you!
Physically fit and ideally able to commit to trapping long-term.
At least a couple of hours every month.
