Community Mulching and Weeding Bee - Coastal restoration
The Whau River Catchment Trust is a non-profit environmental group, delivering ecological restoration projects all across the catchment with the support of our amazing west Auckland community. We are holding a community mulching and weeding bee at Tony Segedin Esplanade Reserve on Sunday morning, 27th April, to remove weeds and spread mulch around our native tree plantings. Meeting on the park at the Canal Road end. No experience required. All tools and gloves provided, plus biscuits and juice for morning tea. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult. Many hands make light work, so why not bring your friends and whanau along as well!
Sturdy, closed-in shoes; a drink bottle; sunscreen and a sunhat.
One-off event on Sunday 27th April, meeting at 9:30am and finishing at 11:30am.
