Weed Busting at Roy Clements Treeway
Our collaborative group, St Lukes Environmental Protection Society (STEPS), invites you to participate in the weeding event at Roy Clements Treeway, a beautiful Waitītiko Meola Creek with over 40 years of riparian restoration effort.
Weed control is part of an essential plant maintenance of our native trees and waterways. Weed can grow relatively fast to smother the trees, especially in hotter seasons, hence preventing the trees from access to sunlight and space. This will dramatically kill young plants. In addition, we are going to free up the space for the native plants.
Come and make a difference to save our Meola Creek!
