Native Bush Regeneration - North Shore

Northcote's new greenway runs through the heart of the town, following the newly daylighted Te Ara Awataha stream and connecting a number of local reserves with each other, and with the community. Learn all about the innovative collaboration that made this award-winning project possible.

As the ecosystems grow and mature along the newly established greenway, expert ecologists from Kaipātiki Project have been monitoring the stream and surrounding bush, and actively regenerating the native flora and fauna.

We’re calling on the community to join us in this endeavour, to regenerate this new, nature-based community space. Join us “behind the scenes” and see what it takes to get new ecosystems thriving!

This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and nature and to become a highly knowledgeable, seasoned hand at native bush regeneration.
