Witheford Reserve Regeneration
Get involved and join us for a hands-on experience at the Witheford Reserve working bee!
Led by an expert ecologist, we're establishing a new volunteer group to regenerate this special reserve and positively impact the environment. Help us clear invasive plants, eradicate pest animals, and enhance the overall health of the native bush.
We will also conduct ecological monitoring in the form of - bird counting, stream testing, and chew cards.
Over 25 years ago, passionate community members voluntarily initiated restoration activities within this tranquil haven.
In 1998 this group became KERP (Kaipātiki Ecological Restoration Project) and laid the groundwork for what would evolve into Kaipātiki Project as we know it today. We’re returning to our roots this May, to regenerate and enliven this special environment that holds part of our history.
