Connect Group Co-ordinator - PUKEKOHE
Headway’s Connect Groups are monthly 1-hour meetups where people living with brain injury can share experiences, support each other, and focus on doing more of what is important to them.
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help co-ordinate these gatherings. You’ll be the welcoming face of your local group - helping people feel comfortable and connected. You will use your community connections to assist Headway in promoting the group in your local area.
As relationships are important, it is vital that you can commit to one year minimum.
All admin and reminders are handled by the Headway team, so your focus is simply on people and connection.
If you’re someone who enjoys bringing others together and believes in the power of community, we’d love to hear from you.
Someone who lives close to Pukekohe and is:
-friendly, empathetic, and reliable
-comfortable supporting small group conversations
-has good communication skills
-can empower others rather than "do for"
This is a support/co-ordinator role. Lived experience of brain injury (personally or through whānau/friends) is welcomed but not required
Maximum of 2 hours monthly
- 1 hour with the group, 10am-11am one weekday a month (day can be flexible)
- Welcoming participants before the group
- Communicating with Headway Navigator after the group
Getting started:
