Journalist - environmental project focus
Te Hononga a Iwi - Restoring Rosedale Park is a collaborative, urban restoration project that is delivering so much more than "just" increasing canopy cover. Inspiring young leaders, partnering with universities and schools, working alongside subject matter experts from academia and local businesses, this group is going from strength to strength.
The current lead journalist has stepped into a governance role and while she still remains hands on as well, would love to have additional support to write those compelling stories that inspire and engage future and current volunteers. This is your chance to be part of something truly amazing and use your strengths and passions for writing articles and social media content that supports this work
The ability to contribute content on a monthly basis for the regular newsletter, as part of a team of volunteers would be much appreciated. The ability to capture stories that will generate interest and tell others about our mahi will be the key here.
You can commit as much or as little as you want, ideally we are looking for 5 hours a month (typically) and possibly attending one event so that you can capture images and soak up what this project is all about by talking to the people who are engaging. Remote work is totally fine though.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
