Ideally going over the patch with a weed eater first, we don't own one but can hire - or if volunteer owns one? Then to weed and dig over, adding some compost etc to prepare the soil for autumn / winter vegetables. Assist with assembling a greenhouse for seedling production - we have tools, garden tools etc - we just dont have a weed eater - which would be best way to start the process - but can borrow or hire one for the day. These kai gardens are utilised in our free community cooking classes. Come and hang out with our friendly, funny crew of community service workers for the day, you'll leave smiling, and very likely with some kai and bar of chocolate, as we so appreciate the support.
