Companionship Elderly and disabled

Knox is seeking volunteers to support our residents during dinner times, helping to create a meal experience that is friendly, relaxed, and comfortable.
Our dinner support volunteers bring companionship and reassurance to residents during the evening meal. A welcoming presence at the table can make a big difference, helping residents feel at ease and supported at the end of the day.
There are also limited lunch shifts available for those who prefer daytime volunteering.
Beyond mealtimes, volunteers may spend time offering companionship in simple, meaningful ways — from chatting and playing cards to looking through magazines, reading together, painting nails, or enjoying a quiet after-dinner conversation.
If you’d like to make a difference by helping someone enjoy a calm and comfortable mealtime, this could be a wonderful role for you.
