Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital
We are a hospital and resthome catering to 200 plus seniors and young disabled. We are based on the Eden concept of care - The core concept of the Eden Alternative is simple: Care environments are habitats for human beings that should promote health, well being and growth rather than facilities where the frail and elderly stagnate and decline.
We are currently looking for volunteers to work with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to support Knox residents during their exercises in the gym.
We are looking for volunteer to help with servin morning tea in our warm and vibrant rest home, with encouragement towards building organic friendships and participating in mutually meaningful activities with our residents.
We are looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers who are keen to meet Knox residents and have fun. If this sounds like you we'd love to hear from you!
Bring your talents, share your music, and have fun! We would love volunteers to visit Knox and share...
Are you interested in helping us make mealtimes fun and enjoyable for Knox residents? At Knox we have residents who love meeting and chatting with volunteers!
We are looking for male volunteers to be a companion for our male residents, and to provide social interaction with the wider community for our residents.
We are looking to create a team of 5 to 10 volunteers, who are reliable, compassionate and independent to help residents run errands and make trips out into the community one on one.
We are looking for reliable and compassionate volunteers to assist with serving of lunch or dinner to the residents in our dining rooms.
We are a care home for both elders and young adults living with physical disabilities. Volunteers are matched with 2 or 3 residents whom you would visit and spend time with. Residents range from in their forties up to (and over!) one hundred years old.
