Native Plant Release & Nursery Helper
Field Volunteer Responsibilities:
• Visit planting sites around Camp Adair where young native plants have been established.
• Help release these plants from encroaching weeds and vines that are choking them.
• Use provided tools and follow best-practice guidelines to ensure minimal disturbance to the plants and soil.
Nursery Volunteer Responsibilities:
• Assist with general nursery tasks such as potting up seedlings, pricking out, seed preparation, germination, splitting plants, and basic plant care.
• Help maintain a tidy, functional nursery space.
• Learn how native plants are grown from seed through to planting.
Experience Required:
• No experience or prior knowledge is necessary.
• Just a keen sense of curiosity, willingness to learn, and interest in hands-on work.
