Gardening Volunteer
Located in Mt Albert, Alberton is a Category 1 Heritage New Zealand Property, built in 1863, set in beautiful grounds. While Alberton does have professional gardeners, we are always looking for extra hands to help keep our gardens looking their best.
As a volunteer gardener, you would help with things such as
• Weeding and maintaining garden beds
• Assisting with planting
• Interacting with visitors who may have questions about the garden or the property
• Occasionally helping at special garden-related events
We welcome people who are:
• Physically fit and have some gardening experience
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
• Passionate about the outdoors and flexible with their time
• Interested in gardening within a heritage and cultural environment
We are flexible about hours and can accommodate your schedule. You may have a few hours per week, or per month you could offer.
