Care Home Companionship - Epsom
We are looking for kind-hearted volunteers to spend time with a lovely male resident living in an aged care facility in Epsom, Auckland. This resident is younger (in his 50s) than other aged care residents, so tends to feel lonely and isolated. A volunteer willing to chat and provide regular companionship would be greatly appreciated.
Most of all, we look for volunteers with kind hearts and a willingness to help others. In addition, volunteers should have conversational English ability, a clear police record, and preferably have an ability to commit to the role for at least 6 months. Volunteers will receive online (30 minute) and on-site (1 hour) orientations prior to commencing the role.
Hours are flexible, most volunteers choose to commit to one hour per week. A minimum six month volunteer commitment is much appreciated.
