Retail Assistant Volunteer - Sundays.

Our Op Shops have created friendly, supportive community hubs, offering much-needed local services and even help New Zealand to be more environmentally sustainable - more recycling means less landfill!

Maybe you already have retail or customer service experience or perhaps you're looking for an opportunity to learn these skills - either way, we'd love to hear from you.

What's involved?
We're looking for caring individuals keen to give back to their community. Retail experience is great but not essential. If you're keen to learn, enthusiastic and reliable, then we can teach you the skills you need.

There's plenty of variety in this role, you could be doing anything from:

-serving customers

  • cash handling
    -sorting donated goods
    -visual merchandising
    -tidying the store
Requirements:

The recruitment process will involve:

  • an interview with the store manager
  • a criminal record check
    Optional: If your role is to involve driving (e.g. donation pick ups) we will also check that you have a current, full NZ Driver License

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We are seeking people who can spare 4 hours a week (one half-day shift) on a Sunday
