Conversation Partner - Warkworth, Wellsford (Tomarata)
As a Conversation Partner, you’ll spend 1 hour each week visiting your client to enjoy meaningful social conversations. These supported conversations help our clients build confidence and feel more connected. Volunteers gain valuable skills through training and receive ongoing support from a Speech-Language Therapist and Volunteer Coordinator. If you want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life while learning new skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Training takes place over two days in Warkworth: Thursday 30 October and Wednesday 5 November, 10am–1pm. Attending both sessions is required.
Volunteers should be good listeners, open to learning about different ways of communicating, and fluent in spoken and written English. You’ll also need your own transport to visit clients.
1 visit a week for 1 hour - during working hours, Monday to Friday.
