Fruit Tree Pruners

Kelmarna is an organic community farm in central Auckland on a mission to transform our food system. We are dedicated to building a healthy community and environment, and promoting sustainable living.

We are looking for experienced and passionate fruit tree pruners to assist us in pruning and caring for the trees in our food forest and surrounds. We have a wide variety of fruit trees onsite such as citrus, pear, apple, guava, persimmon, avocado, fig, tamarillo, and fejoia. You don't need to be an expert in them all!

This mahi will take place on our Thursday volunteer day and so there will be an opportunity to meet and socialise with other volunteers. You will be directed by our on-site team. Tools are provided. We also provide lunch, made fresh from the gardens and enjoyed together!

A bit more about Kelmarna:
On around 1.7 hectares of land we use permaculture methods to produce food for our local community. We grow vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers and keep chickens, bees, and sheep. We model a regenerative local food system that cares about the earth, climate and people. We love sharing our mahi, providing educational opportunities and offering a beautiful space for people to share, enjoy and feel the therapeutic benefits of being in nature.
