Working Bee Volunteer (Monthly)
Address : 517, Waitoki Road, Wainui.
Join us for our monthly Working Bee at Duke House, Youth In Transition’s therapeutic retreat — a peaceful rural sanctuary where lives are rebuilt, hope is restored, and healing begins.
Once a month on a Saturday morning, you’ll help us maintain and enhance the outdoor spaces that are so important to the young people and families we support.
🪴 When:
First Saturday of each month
7:00am – breakfast & refreshments provided
7:30am–10:30am – working bee
🛠️ What you’ll do:
Each month’s working bee has different goals depending on the needs of the retreat at the time. Tasks are varied and could include any of the following:
Helping keep our grounds safe, welcoming, and calming.
Maintaining gardens: weeding, weed-eating, hedge trimming.
Keeping lawns, paths, and driveways tidy.
Caring for our sensory garden and other outdoor features.
Painting, decorating, or other small maintenance tasks.
You’ll be supported by our friendly team, with all tools, equipment, and guidance provided. Every pair of hands makes a difference — and you’ll leave knowing you’ve contributed to the healing journey of young people and their whānau.
You’ll be part of a wonderful, small working bee team — a great way to start your weekend with purpose and connection.
