Content creation and proof reading - marketing material
We’re looking for a detail-focused volunteer with a strong command of English to support us in refining and polishing our online and promotional content. If you have an eye for spotting errors, a love for clean and effective language, and a knack for making good writing even better – we’d love to hear from you.
As our Volunteer Proofreader, you’ll help ensure that our website and marketing materials are professional, clear, and engaging. This role is ideal for someone with a background in English, communications, or content writing/editing.
What You’ll Do
• Review and proofread website pages for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency
• Suggest wording improvements for clarity, tone, and flow
• Provide feedback on structure, layout, or messaging where relevant
• Review marketing content (e.g. flyers, social media copy, newsletter ) and suggest edits or improvements
• Help ensure our voice is warm, inclusive, and community-focused
Bonus If You Have:
• Background in writing, editing, communications or journalism
• Familiarity with plain language principles
• Understanding of inclusive or accessible communication

it might be 10 hours in the first week and 2 - 3 hours per week ongoing or short bursts of work. We are flexible and want to give someone the chance to give us some creative input.
