Grounds maintenance in an island setting
This work supports our Island Managers who often have their hands full. It enables key work to be done when needed and keeps the island safe and an enjoyable place for people to visit. All of the gear and equipment needed to do the work is provided on the island. Our regular volunteers are an essential part of running the island.
You need to be fit and practical. If you have not done this work before you need to be willing to learn and work to the required standards, ways of undertaking the work so that it is always done safely and to a consistently high standard. You need to be a team player but also prepared to work alone. Training will be provided.
Because we are a semi remote offshore island with no medical facilities, we prefer our volunteers to be fully vaccinated
1 day a month but more if you are able. Travel on the ferry is provided and accommodation if available if you come to volunteer for more than 1 day. We ask that you do at least 4-5 hrs each day in return.
