Fundraising Officer

You will research funding opportunities, develop compelling grant applications, engage with donors, and help plan fundraising campaigns and events. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference and skilled in relationship management, writing, and fundraising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential funding opportunities, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors.
Assist in writing grant applications, funding proposals, and sponsorship pitches.
Develop and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and funding bodies.
Support fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring effective promotion and donor engagement.
Track and report on fundraising performance and impact.
Collaborate with the team to create marketing materials for fundraising efforts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or donor engagement (or a willingness to learn).
Ability to research and identify relevant funding opportunities.
Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing donor databases and reports.
A proactive, self-motivated approach to meeting fundraising targets.
Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to ethical fundraising.
Desirable:

Experience working in the non-profit or charity sector.
Familiarity with CRM systems or donor management platforms.
Knowledge of corporate sponsorship and crowdfunding strategies.

Costs: $15 for new NZ Police Check (or free/no cost for students with proof of current study).

A Police background check is required for this role.
