Funding/Grant Procurement Officer

The purpose of this role is to effectively prepare funding applications to Trusts, Funding Agencies and local Government bodies in order to secure grants for our non profit organisation. The reward for this role is knowing you are making a difference to our community. All funds raised go towards keeping vital free financial mentoring services available to people that are vulnarable and or going through hardship. These services are available to anybody in the Devonport to Hibiscus Coast area of Auckland and occassionaly further afield.
We are searching for an experienced fundraising person to be responsible for researching new opportunities, preparing grant applications and ensuring fundraising target are met. You should be well organized, proactive and have the ability to work independantly.
You will be responsible to the General Manager and accounts team.

Requirements:

Experience in typing/writing and managing grant applications.
A high level of confidentiality, organisational skills and motivation are required.
Being able to work within a given timeframes is essential.
A computer is provided but access to the internet will be required when working outside the office environment.
A good level of written and spoken English and an ability to communicate well with our organisation as well as external parties is necessary.
Work can be performed either in our office in Albany and at the volunteers home.
A police background check is required for this role.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Approx 4 hours per week.
