Advisor at Citizens Advice Bureau

These positions are based on Auckland's North Shore, and could be based in Takapuna, Birkenhead, Orewa, Glenfield, Northcote or Browns Bay. You would be advising clients by phone, zoom or in person (by appointment). The purpose of these positions is to offer a more comprehensive service, in addition to our more 'general' advice that is provided through qualified bureau interviewers. It is possible to provide both specialist and general advice, if that suits you better.
The Citizens Advice Bureau provides impartial, confidential information to individuals about their rights and responsibilities. Anyone can come to the CAB anonymously, and ask any question about any topic.

Requirements:

Specialist skills in a specific area of expertise. It may be that you have retired and have skills and experience in a certain profession, or it could be that you are at University and have enough skills and knowledge to get some community experience. You will need to embrace volunteerism and make a commitment to your community and the CAB for a reasonable period of time.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

A minimum of four hours per week, plus Learning & Development.
