Mixed Messages

Being able to "tell our stories" about volunteering is an interesting topic.

Do we tell our stories in numbers? We have XXX volunteers who contribute XXX hours to our organisations and save us XXX dollars?  Do we talk about what actions are carried out by the people who contribute their time to our cause? Or do we talk about the difference volunteers make to our clients, our communities?

With National Volunteer Week behind us with many stories in local and social media check out Sue Hines latest blog post for an interesting take on messages we give to the public about volunteering.
