EXCITE .. EXCITE ... our new website is now live which incorporates on-line voluntary opportunities and self referrals.  This has been a very big project for us and we are very pleased to be able to add another service for our members.

We have also come to the end of another financial year for Volunteering Auckland and once again we have had an increase in the number of people registering with us for voluntary opportunities.  In the last three years registrations have increased by over 47%.  And with the new on-line option we will see an even bigger increase!  Are you ready for an influx of volunteer referrals?  Do you have the processes in place to ensure that any volunteer enquiry your receive is handled efficiently?

We have also had a marked increase in the number of community organisations requesting help, guidance and support in evaluating and developing their Volunteer Involving Programmes (VIP).  We are looking at ways to make this process easier and will be working in partnership with Violence Free Waitakere to develop the processes, templates and evaluation tools so that you can easily assess your own VIP or have our assistance to do it with you.
