Helping young people grow

19 Sep 2017 | Volunteer Stories

Why did you decide to volunteer?
I had a family friend who supported and mentored me when I was young. I felt that I could give back and that I wanted to give back.

Why did you choose this particular organisation?
I chose to volunteer with Pillars because I feel a real affinity with children and want to be able to help young people grow in self-worth and thrive.

What is it you really enjoy about your role and volunteering?
I really enjoy being able to spend one on one time as a mentor with a young person and help them achieve their goals and dreams.
