Social Group Support

Our social group is looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help support their regular meetings and create a welcoming environment for members. You’ll help with practical tasks such as setting up the room, preparing and serving food and drinks, and packing down at the end of the meeting. You may also provide guiding support to members as they arrive, move around the venue, and take part in the group. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, being part of a social group and helping others feel comfortable and included.

Requirements:

We're looking for someone who is friendly, patient and comfortable communicating with older adults and individuals with vision loss. You should live in or near the South Auckland area.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Twice a month, on a weekday. Approximately 2–3 hours per meeting, including setup and pack down.
