Board Secretary

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in governance, community service or gaining experience working alongside an experienced charitable trust board

Key responsibilities
• Schedule Board meetings and manage calendar invitations.
• Coordinate meeting arrangements and confirm trustee attendance.
• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and supporting documents.
• Attend meetings and take clear, accurate minutes.
• Maintain Board records, minutes and action registers.
• Follow up with Board members on agreed actions and deadlines.
• Support the Chair and Chief Executive with meeting coordination.
• Ensure Board documents are stored securely and remain confidential

Requirements:

About you
You will ideally have:
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• The ability to produce clear and professional meeting minutes.
• Confidence communicating with Board members and senior leaders.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Teams.
• A high level of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
• Exposure to BoardPro (or advanced user of BoardPro)

Time commitment:

The role should not take more than 4 hrs per week.
