Community Patroller [Ellerslie, Stonefields, Greenlane & St Johns]

We're looking for new patrollers in the Ellerslie, Greenlane, Stonefields, St Johns area!

If you're community-minded, enjoy meeting people, and want to help make our neighbourhood a safer place, we'd love to hear from you. No previous experience is required. Full training and support are provided, and volunteer commitments are flexible to fit around your lifestyle.

Requirements:
  • An interest in community safety and crime prevention.
  • Respect and appreciation of New Zealand police.
  • Confidence to engage with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • The ability to promote CPNZ (Community Patrol New Zealand) while engaging with community/businesses.
  • Health that would not prevent you from meeting your CPNZ patrol minimum commitment of 4 hours per month.
  • Police vetting clearance. A Police background check is required for this role.
  • Mandatory online training, 10 modules to complete.

Time commitment:

The Ellerslie & Stonefields Community Patrol's minimum patrol commitment is 4 hours per month. As we would like to expand the number and frequency of our local patrols, we encourage you to sign up on our roster for as many patrols over the month that fit your lifestyle!
