Want to make a real difference in your local community?
Massey Matters is looking for friendly, reliable and motivated volunteers to help with our weekly Food Together fresh fruit & veggie pop-up at Massey Community Hub.
Volunteer roles include: 🥕 Setting up and packing down
🛍️ Packing fresh produce bags
📋 Distributing pre-ordered packs from the order list
💵 Basic money handling and sales
😊 Assisting customers
💻 Creating and sharing social media promotions
🤝 General volunteer support
We're also looking for someone with strong leadership and organisational skills to take on a Volunteer Group Coordinator role, helping coordinate volunteers, support weekly operations and promote the initiative.
No experience is required, but we'd love to hear from people who: ✔ Have great communication skills
✔ Have basic computer and social media skills (or strong social media experience)
✔ Are reliable and punctual
✔ Can use their initiative
✔ Are highly motivated and passionate about helping the community
✔ Have cash handling, retail, supermarket or food bank experience (an advantage)
Flexible volunteering – help weekly or join our casual roster (Regular volunteers preferred)
Applications are only open to people living within the Henderson-Massey Local Board area, including Massey, Royal Heights, West Harbour, Hobsonville, Hobsonville Point, Luckens Point, Ranui, Lincoln, Te Atatū South and Te Atatū Peninsula.
💚 As a thank you for your time, volunteers who help on the day will receive a complimentary pack of fresh fruit and vegetables (subject to availability).

⏰️2.30pm-5.30pm (3hrs)
🗓Social Media/Promo (Remote, weekly) :
⏰️approx 2hrs
🌻Sunflower Market Stallholder Volunteers @ Massey Hub (In-Person, monthly) :
🗓⏰️approx 6hrs (9am- 3pm) on the 1st Saturday of every month
