Community Projects Coordination

Planet FM is Auckland's community access radio station, supporting diverse communities through multilingual broadcasting, education, and community engagement.
We are seeking a volunteer to support the coordination and administration of community projects delivered through Planet FM.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising information, creating systems, coordinating activities, and helping projects run smoothly behind the scenes.
Key activities may include:
• Assisting with project planning and coordination.
• Maintaining project trackers and action registers.
• Organising project documentation and records.
• Supporting meeting coordination, agendas, and meeting notes.
• Following up actions and maintaining progress updates.
• Assisting with reporting and evidence collection.
• Supporting development of simple project management systems using Microsoft 365 tools.
The role is primarily remote, with occasional online or in-person meetings at Planet FM.

Requirements:

• Strong organisational skills.
• Good written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Competent Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Reliable and able to follow through on agreed actions.
Desirable:
• Experience supporting projects or programmes.
• Experience in administration or coordination roles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Forms, or Microsoft Lists.
• Interest in community development, communications, media, or not-for-profit organisations.
Training, onboarding, and ongoing support will be provided.

Time commitment:

Time Commitment
• Approximately 4–6 hours per week.
• Initial commitment sought from July to October 2026, with the possibility of continuing by mutual agreement.
Location: Flexible – work can be undertaken from home, from the Planet FM offices in Mt Albert, Auckland, or through a hybrid arrangement, depending on the volunteer's preference and operational requirements.
