Fundraising Support
Funding and Grants Support Volunteer
The Funding and Grants Support Volunteer will work alongside TKI’s Fundraising Manager to support the organisation’s funding and donor engagement mahi. This role would suit someone with experience in not-for-profit grant writing, donor support, fundraising administration, or community sector funding. The volunteer will help identify suitable funding opportunities, support the preparation of grant applications, gather programme information and supporting documents, assist with donor communications, and help keep funding records and reporting requirements organised.
This is a flexible volunteer role that can be shaped around the person’s availability, skills, and interests. Ideally, the volunteer will spend some time working from the TKI office to connect with the team, understand our programmes, and receive regular support and guidance from the Fundraising Manager. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants to contribute their skills to support rangatahi wellbeing and strengthen the sustainability of TKI’s kaupapa.
We are looking for someone with strong writing and communication skills, good problem solving ability, and confidence using technology, including Microsoft Office tools and AI supported ways of working. Some experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor support, or the not for profit sector would be ideal, but it is not essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who supports TKI’s kaupapa and is motivated to contribute to mahi that strengthens the wellbeing of rangatahi.
3 to 5 hours a week ideally, although we are flexible, days to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
