Event Coordinators

We are looking for Event Coordinators to help Te Toipoto – New Zealand Ethnic Men’s Council deliver four career advancement workshops across Auckland.

The coordinators will help with event preparation, venue setup, registration, volunteer coordination, participant support, catering logistics, timekeeping, and post-event pack-down. The workshops will support participants with CVs, LinkedIn profiles, interview skills, job-search strategies, and understanding New Zealand workplace culture.

This is a practical, people-focused role suited to someone organised, reliable, and confident working with diverse communities.

Volunteers are also welcomed to attend these events.

Requirements:

Fluent English communication skills.
Full or restricted driver licence and access to reliable transport.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Confident communicating with volunteers, participants, and community partners.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow a run sheet.
Comfortable working with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Basic admin skills, including email, phone communication, and simple record keeping.

Time commitment:

Approximately 4 Saturday workshops in July or August 2026, plus some preparation time before each event.

Estimated commitment: 3–5 hours per workshop, with light coordination tasks before and after each event.
