Hospitality Cafe Support - Takanini

We need your smile and positive attitude here in our whare; help make our Retail customers and all our customers feel welcome and at home through food and hospitality at our onsite pop up cafe, Aroha Eatery, Takanini. [morning and afternoon shifts available]

Tōtara Hospice (TH) is a supportive and caring organisation, providing palliative care services to patients and their families/whanau travelling through the journey of a life limiting illness. Supporting those living in the South and South East Auckland area. This is an exciting opportunity to join the TH team based in the Retail Store in Takanini at our pop up Cafe space.

What activities will I be involved in?
Customer Service
Point of Sale, till work
Taking lunch orders
Serving cabinet food
Clearing tables
General help in Cafe area
Learning coffee machine

What support will we give you?
Training given on the job and of all systems such as the till
Ongoing support from our Volunteer services team and Hospitality team

Requirements:

Organised, and able to work well under pressure with a flexible attitude
Reliability to your volunteer commitment
Food, catering and hospitality experience is an advantage but a passion for this area is just as good as training will be provided.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Time required - be able to commit to at least 1 x 3 hour shift per week
Shifts available: Monday to Saturday, morning and afternoon shifts available 8:45am - 11:45am, 11:45am - 2:45pm
