Creative Content & Design
Big Brothers Big Sisters Auckland (BBBS Auckland) is a youth mentoring charity supporting young people aged 6–12 who face increased risk of social isolation and adverse life outcomes. Through long-term, one-to-one mentoring relationships, we help build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging—giving young people the support they need to thrive.
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented volunteer to support us with the design and presentation of our funding stewardship materials. This includes creating visually engaging thank you letters, impact reports, and funding updates using tools such as Canva (or similar platforms).
While our team will provide the written content, your role will be to bring it to life—turning words into compelling, professional, and visually engaging materials that reflect the quality and impact of our programme.
Your work will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with our funders and supporters, helping ensure we can continue delivering our free service to the young people and families who need it most.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing visually engaging letters and funding reports
- Creating templates and consistent branding across documents
- Bringing impact stories and data to life through creative layout and design
- Working collaboratively with our team using Canva or similar tools
Why this matters:
For every young person we support, together with their mentor, an estimated six others are positively impacted—including caregivers, siblings, teachers, and the wider community. Your work will help us show that impact clearly, strengthening our ability to secure ongoing funding and continue changing lives.
This is a flexible, meaningful volunteer opportunity where your creative skills will directly support some of Auckland’s vulnerable young people.
- Experience with Canva or similar design platforms
- Strong eye for design, layout, and storytelling
- Ability to turn written content into engaging visual formats
- Reliability and good communication
- Passion for community impact and supporting young people
