New Parent Group Coordinator - Botany

As a coordinator for our Plunket new parent group, you will provide a welcoming environment and will help facilitate the group, keeping track of attendance, completing a health and safety checklist for each session, preparing the space and hosting the sessions. The purpose of this role is to bring new parents together by giving them an opportunity to meet other new parents and make connections sand friendships in a warm and safe environment. These groups help reduce loneliness and isolation in the community, offer support from peers and gives them an opportunity learn about the services that are available in their community. You will also need to be intuitive in anticipating the needs of the group help where needed. Please note that because this role requires working with families and children, police vetting will be carried out prior to commencing the role as well as reference checks.

Requirements:

Excellent and clear communication skills, warm and welcoming personality, comfortable working with multiple ethnicities, good listener, police vetting and reference checks

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Friday Afternoons from 1:00pm-2:30pm (1.5 hours per week)
