Friendship – Library & Quiet Outings (Glenfield)

IHC is seeking a reliable, patient volunteer to build a quiet, meaningful one‑to‑one friendship with an older adult living in the Glenfield area.
This role suits someone who enjoys calm routines and gentle outings. You’ll spend relaxed time together visiting the local library, café, or bowls club, sharing conversation and companionship at an easy pace.
The purpose of this role is connection — building trust, consistency, and friendship over time.

Requirements:

Spending regular time with an older adult
Enjoying quiet outings such as library visits or café trips
Sharing conversation and companionship
Being a steady, grounded presence
Building a genuine, ongoing friendship

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

weekly or fortnightly preferred
