Food Rescue Driver

Everybody Eats is looking for volunteers interested in supporting our food rescue operations. This role is vital to helping us turn rescued food into nourishing three-course, pay-what-you-can dinners for our communities.

As a Food Rescue Driver, you’ll collect surplus food from donors across the city and deliver it to our restaurant kitchens. Along the way, you’ll help to build and maintain positive relationships with our food donors and play a key role in reducing food waste while supporting people to eat well.

At this stage we are seeking expressions of interest. The role will involve flexible hours and days, with a few different scheduling options likely to be available.

A full role description is available upon request. Shortlisted candidates will go through an interview and reference check process.

If you’re passionate about reducing food waste and supporting community food access, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:
  • Full, clean driver’s licence (Class 1)
  • Comfortable driving around the city to collect and deliver food
  • Confident lifting and carrying large boxes and crates of food
  • Reliable and organised, with good communication skills
Time commitment:

Flexible arrangements to be confirmed later in the process. Options will be available.
