Mentoring - Rotary Apprenticeship Programme (RAP)

We’re looking for volunteers for the Rotary Apprenticeship Programme (RAP). RAP is a team mentoring programme focused on building resilience and employability in Yr 13 students as they explore Gateway opportunities and consider apprenticeship pathways.

We’re seeking volunteers with industry experience, to help students build job-ready “soft skills”, which at this transition stage helps to avoid student disconnection and promotes lifelong employment. Students are aware they’re about to transition into the adult world of work, so they are receptive and appreciative of informed volunteer input.

RAP is a high-trust model, led and supervised by classroom teachers within the school timetable, and involves weekly team mentoring sessions. Each mentor is matched with 2 or 3 students, with team back-up for mentor absence.

You'd be helping with one session per week (during school hours), at One Tree Hill College, Penrose.
