The Young Onset Dementia group is looking for a volunteer/s to help out once a week. The group meets on a Wednesday from 9.30-3.00pm. The group takes part in a fun blend of activities ranging from games and hands on activities. The role will require the volunteer to support the people, help out organising activities, help set up for lunch, and participating if needed.
Dementia North supports people with dementia/mate wareware and their family/whānau through a range of services and activities. We believe support and community connections help people with dementia to live a full and enjoyable life.

Requirements:

Excellent communication, kindness and a commitment to the duration of the programme.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Wednesdays 9.30-3.00pm
