Support Group Coordinator

Organising and facilitating regular support group meetings
Creating a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space
Supporting caregivers through information, advocacy and referrals
Connecting with community organisations and guest speakers
Promoting the group locally with support from GRG

Requirements:

Compassionate, empathetic and a good listener
Organised and reliable
Inclusive and respectful of diverse backgrounds
Interested in supporting caregivers and whānau
Ideally has experience or understanding of kinship, foster or whānau care (helpful
but not essential)
Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate Microsoft Outlook (email), Word (documents), and Excel (spreadsheets).

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Flexible, with a minimum of approximately 5–10 hours per week.
