Electrician / Test & Tag Support - Panmure Op-Shop
• As a Volunteer Electrician /Test & Tag, you will support the Habitat for Humanity Panmure Op‑Shop by ensuring donated electrical items are safe and compliant for resale.
• Your skills help protect customers, reduce waste, and raise vital funds to support affordable housing in our community.
• This is a practical, behind‑the‑scenes role with no customer service responsibilities.
This role is well suited to a retired Electrician or someone who holds a current Test and Tag certification.
You will need:
• Electrical trade experience or a current Test and Tag certificate
• Knowledge of electrical safety and appliance compliance
• A careful, safety focused approach
• Ability to work independently and provide clear advice to staff
• Reliability and willingness to commit to occasional site visits
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
• Ideally we would like someone to come in 2 half days or 1 full day per week
• We dont mind what days or hours - there is flexibility around your availability
• The Panmure Op‑Shop operates 7 days a week, allowing weekday or weekend options (our hours are: 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat/Sun)
• Frequency can be adjusted depending on donation volumes and your preference
