Advocacy team members

Would you like to join some amazing strategic thinkers, national award winning leaders and passionate advocates for environmental protection, climate action and freshwater protection?

We would love to hear from anyone who has skills, passion, technical knowledge or is currently studying any of the following topics:

  • urban planning
  • environmental law
  • public policy
  • urban design

We want to have a loud voice for nature, to make sure that our natural environment is given adequate consideration and protection and to help shape the future of Auckland's Upper Harbour to create an area that our grandchildren will enjoy.

Workload varies but we hope to meet online once a month in 2026 to discuss what's up for public feedback, where we can have an impact and how we can share our local and technical knowledge.

Do reach out with questions, we'd love to hear from you and know that by pulling together a diverse range of skills we'll have a stronger team.

Requirements:

We are looking for professionals, students and academics who have:

An awareness of currently trends, future changes and a strategic overview of your area of expertise that relates to environmental protection

An ability to articulate your ideas clearly and persuasively

Time commitment:

We are looking at setting up an early evening meeting once a month (online) where the team will come together and discuss what's happening out there.

When there are submissions to write there may be a request for some drafting, editing or proof reading of responses which could add a few more hours to your voluntary commitment.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
