Grants Writer
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research and writing, is comfortable working with information and deadlines, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to our organisation. You will assist our team by identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, and maintaining accurate records to help secure vital support for our programmes.
• Research and identify suitable grants and funding opportunities
• Assist with preparing and drafting grant applications and supporting documents
• Help maintain a database of funding bodies, deadlines, and submission requirements
• Support tracking and reporting on grant outcomes and commitments
• Collaborate with staff to gather project details, statistics, and stories for proposals
• Assist with preparing simple reports, budgets, or updates for funders
• Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Research and information management skills
• Confidence using computer applications (Word, Excel, email, Google Docs, etc.)
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow guidelines
• Friendly, collaborative, and professional approach
• An interest in the arts, community development, or non-profit work is an advantage
• Flexible hours – ideally one/two day per week or equivalent
• Minimum commitment of 3 months, with the option to extend
