Volunteer with Hospice West Auckland – Henderson

There’s always something new, something different, and someone new to meet when you volunteer in our Hospice shops! Every day is busy, rewarding, and full of variety. Learn retail and customer service skills, build confidence with retail training, learn to operate the till (with full training provided).
Work as part of a fun, supportive team, it's a varied role. All successful applicants will be expected to complete retail volunteer training in-store. If you have a passion for retail and enjoy working with people, come to talk to us about your next voluntary role!

Requirements:

Reliability is essential as our stores run on a lean roster of volunteers. The more volunteers we have, the better our shops can operate. You will have a friendly, helpful and 'can-do' attitude, someone who is bright, enthusiastic, energetic and positive. A helpful attitude and willingness to go the extra mile; Flexibility and reliability are essential; ability to learn fast and be proactive in a busy environment. Customer service skills/retail experience desirable.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

A minimum commitment of 6 months. A 4-hour shift per week on an ongoing basis. Morning 9am -1pm and afternoon 1pm -5pm shifts are available, seven days per week.
